He was predeceased by: his siblings, Kathryn Biser, Harvey Hess, Guy S. Hess and William "Bill" Hess. He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Hess (Hofe); his children, Wanda S. Stouffer (Gale) of Hagerstown, MD, Rhonda F. Weaver (Tony) of Hagerstown, MD, Pamela K. Gregory (Jimmy) of Mt. Airy, MD and Dale B. Hess (Missy) of Hagerstown, MD; his sisters, Sara G. Weaver of Smithsburg, MD and Jane Hess of Smithsburg, MD; his grandchildren, Kelli Jones (Chris), Dwayne Weaver (Emily), Derrick Kinna (Cassie), Bradley Taylor, Amy Hess, Brandon Hess (Victoria) and Jayden Hess; and his great grandchildren, Emmah, Maddison Jones, Kaylee Kinna, Aliviah, Brynn Weaver, Summer, Lilah Taylor, Ella, Tanner Presgraves and Maverick Hess.
