She was predeceased by: her parents, Dawson J. Shanholtz and Wilda V. Shanholtz; her son Gary L. Smoot; her husband Russell R. Smoot; and her siblings, June Smoot, Mildred Belt and Junior Shanholtz.
She is survived by: her children, Russell Smoot (Debra), Brenda Hose (Floyd), Darlene Chaney (John) and Susan Bowman; her sister Hazel Iser; and her brother-in-law Glenn Smoot. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
