He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Lindsay and Iva Lindsay (Miller); and his siblings, Michael Lindsay, Marie Knapp and Dolores Shaffer.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Lindsay; his children, Bridget Vega (Patrick), Joseph Lindsay, Dawn Marie Silverman (Henry), Tom Lindsay (Cindy), Gwen Flory and Pam Grace; and his grandchildren, Lindsay Vega, J. J. Lindsay, Ian Silverman, Schuyler Silverman, Christopher, Erin, Sarah, Laura and Josh.
