He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon B. Heil and Ruby J. Heil (Borne); and his siblings, Shirley Robinson and Larry Heil. He is survived by: his wife Joan Marie Heil; his sons, Vernon E. Heil, Jr. (Wilma) and Michael Heil; his grandchildren, Angie Hyatt (Michael), Vernon "Butch" Heil III, Nicki and Amber Feltner; his great grandchildren, Felicity Hyatt and Kerrigan Heil; his siblings, Jeanette Eckstine (Dave) and Jerry (Sherry); his friend Bobbi Baker; and his close friend Sherry Bartles.
