He is survived by: his wife Laura Ann Grimes Bowers; his children, Joan Francine Bowers (Jerred Brown) of Hagerstown, MD and John Anthony Bowers (Diane) of Hagerstown, MD; his grandchildren, Ryan Anthony Bowers, Brittani Torrence, Dustin Edward Bowers, Doris Barnard, Gabby Brown, Jack Brown, Olivia Brown and Kayla Hammer (Rob); his son James; and his sisters-in-law, Garnetta Shillingburg and Alice Grimes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
