She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl William Shafer and Velma Millard Shafer; and her husband Robert James Martin. She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Deyette McIntyre (Edwyn) of Cary, NC and Anita Martin-Byers of Apex, NC; her sister Carla Keastead of Galivants Ferry, SC; her stepgrandchildren, Kane, Noland Byers, Sharon Godley, Martin Williams and Damien Williams; her niece Cindy Krause; and her nephews, Tony Keastead and Dwayne Deeds.
