It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Lee Funk Sr. of Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin S. Funk and Matilda Hassler Funk; and his siblings, Paul Funk, William "Billy" Funk, Robert Funk, Sue Teach and Ruth Daley.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Ann Funk; his children, Barbara J. Kending (Marty) and Roy Lee Funk Jr. (Laura); his grandchildren, Shelby Kelley (Joshua), Kyle Toms (Kelli), Sarah Deavers (Michelle), Mike Hardin (Alishia) and Joey Hardin (Rachel); his great grandchildren, Carson Toms, Hunter Kendrick, Blake Kendrick, Bentley Hardin and Addison Hardin; and his sisters, Eleanor Reed and Doris Kline.
