She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Gelfand and Lottie Braunstein Gelfand; and her sister Lynn Markoff. She is survived by: her husband David Louis Handler; her children, Michael R. Handler (Liza) of Manhattan and Carly F. Handler of Fort Worth, Texas; and her niece Stephanie Markoff Cohen.
