He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester S. Whetzel and Blanche L. Whetzel (Stump); his wife Gloria Jean Whetzel; and his daughter Sheila M. Stine. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary M. Whetzel of Hagerstown, MD and Kathy A. Howard (Patrick) of Boonsboro, MD; his sisters, Louise LaCroix and Lovella Thomas; and his grandchildren, Mark, Nathan, Lisa, Tommy, Julie, Katie, Barbara Jean and Damian. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
