He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Harrison Fitzgerald, Sr. and Irene Fitzgerald (Tosten); and his siblings, Walter Fitzgerald, Henry Harrison Fitzgerald, Jr., Helen Ebersole, Gertrude Tressler and Dorothy Bingaman.

He is survived by: his brother Earl Fitzgerald; and his niece Donna McElroy (Jacey). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
