He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Scovitch and Blanche Scovitch; his wife Linda Lou Scovitch; his sisters, Barbara and Loretta; his parents-in-law, Betty Martin and Harry Martin; and his brother-in-law Robert McClure.

He is survived by: his children, Joe Scovitch (Lydia) and Kara Scovitch (Kyle); his granddaughters, Aria and Zoey; his siblings, Leon Scovitch (Linda) and Catherine Walsh (John); and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Kline (Pint), Doug McClure (Patty), Gary McClure, Wes Garrison and Ron Middaugh. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

Viewing was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Minnich Funeral Home (415 E Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown, MD 21740). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
