With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Smith Jr. (Hagerstown, Maryland), who passed away on August 7, 2019 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard D. Smith, Sr. and Nervy Smith Stover (Bowman); and his sister Mary Jane Stevenson. He is survived by: his wife Sharon E. Smith (Kemp); his daughters, Alicia Carter (Jerry) and Melissa Smith; his stepchildren, Jackie Sprecher, Berry L. Chaney, Jr., Kheli Chaney and Donald Chaney; and his siblings, Roy L. Smith (Gail), Larry Smith (Betty), Shirley Smith, Linda Martz (Larry) and Judy Brumbaugh (Joe). He is also survived by six grandchildren, ten and a half great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
