It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lee Melby (Hagerstown, Maryland), born in Morris, Illinois, who passed away on August 4, 2019, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Frederick and Dorothy Lura Melby (Finch). He is survived by: his former wife Catherine Shuping Hull (Kay); his wife Kay Melby; his children, Amy Katherine Rogers (Melby) of Hagerstown, MD, Andrew Warren Melby of San Diego, CA and Amanda Leigh Melby of Portland, OR; his stepchildren, David Hull (Angela) of Rohrersville, MD and Elizabeth Barnes (Lawson) of San Francisco, CA; his grandchildren, Dylan Winston Rogers, Emmalee Grace Rogers, Zachary Franklin Hull and Samantha Claire Hull; his siblings, Sandra Kay of Nova Scotia, Kenneth James Melby and Paul Warren Melby of Hagerstown, MD; and his pets, Willy and Lily.
