He was predeceased by: his wife Ethel Irene McCauley Snyder; his parents, Elmer Ellsworth and Mary Kathryn Gardner Snyder; his son Stuart L. Snyder; and his siblings, Marlene Dingee, Lavada Myers, Milton E. and David L. Snyder.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa J. Swain (Kelly) of Hagerstown and Robert H. Snyder (Barbara) of Howard, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Deanna L. Weaver (Mike), Angela M. Crouse (Keith) and Nathaniel P. Snyder; his great grandchildren, Emma I. Lewis (Ralph), Cody A., Trevor J. Crouse and Margaret J. Kline; his great great grandchildren, Avery M. Swain and McKinley I. Lewis; and his daughter-in-law Ruth Ann Snyder of Clear Spring.
