It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Bachtell (Hagerstown, Maryland), who passed away on March 31, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Martin and Leona Hilda Barnes (Barbee); her husband George Allen Bachtell; her daughter Cynthia Woodward; her grandson Patrick Bachtell; her great grandchild Jamison Bachtell; and her siblings, Elmo Barnes, Louis "Bud" Barnes, William "Bill" Barnes, Frank Barnes, Hollis Barnes, Jack Barnes, Elizabeth "Betty" Kline and Barbara Cline.
She is survived by: her sons, Douglas A. Bachtell (Teresa), Wayne Bachtell (Pat), Brian Bachtell (Julie), Rodney Bachtell (Kathleen) and Donald Bachtell (Deb); and her siblings, Thomas "Butch" Barnes, James "Jimmy" Barnes, Patricia "Patty" Izer, Margaret "Peggy" Koontz and Beverly Barnes.
