We bid farewell to Mother Leona Watson of Hagerstown, Maryland, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 21, 2025 at the age of 87. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Mother Leona leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leona Watson (Hagerstown, MD) and Elderess Mary Younker Brumback; and her siblings, Aquilla Brumback, Lovilla Brumback (Betty Frisby), Levi Brumback, Paul Brumback, Joseph Brumback and Leon Brumback.
She is survived by: her children, Vincent Watson of Hagerstown, MD, Deaconess Cheryl Watson of Hagerstown, MD and Deacon Edwin Watson of Hagerstown, MD; and her sister Catherine Tyler of Hagerstown, MD.. She is also survived by two grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob (516 Berm Road, Hancock, MD 21750). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
