He was predeceased by: his wife Bette Griffith Dodson; his son Mitch Jr; and his siblings, Ottie Hammond, Marie Gearhart, Fannie Kauffman, Eva Diehm, Blanche Smith, Christina Markel, Carolyn Dodson, James, Lloyd, Perry, Elmer and Jesse Dodson.
He is survived by: his brother Walter R. Dodson; his children, Mitcha Lisa (Allen Shay) and Erin (Linda Rice Dodson); and his pet Jetta. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
