She was predeceased by: her parents, Ada Louise Hofe (Sipes) and Charles Franklin Hofe; her grandparents, Samuel, Mazie Sipes, Levi and Christina Hofe; and her husband Walter "Gabby" Hess.
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Stouffer (Gale), Rhonda Weaver (Tony), Dale Hess (Missy) of Hagerstown and Pamela Gregory (Jimmy) of Mt. Airy, MD; her grandchildren, Kelli Jones (Chris) of Falling Waters, WV, Dwayne Weaver (Emily) of Hagerstown, Derrick Kinna (Cassie) of Hagerstown, Bradley Taylor (Brooke) of Hagerstown, Amy Hess (Tyeler) of Hagerstown, Brandon Hess (Rachael) of Hagerstown and Jayden Hess of Hagerstown; her great grandchildren, Emmah, Maddison Jones of Falling Waters, WV, Aliviah of Hagerstown, Brynn Weaver of Hagerstown, Kaylee Kinna of Hagerstown, Summer of Hagerstown, Lilah of Hagerstown, Jett Taylor of Hagerstown, Ella of Hagerstown, Tanner of Hagerstown, Kalli Presgraves of Hagerstown, Maverick of Hagerstown and Leighton Hess of Hagerstown; and her sister-in-law Jane Hess of Smithsburg. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home (1331 Eastern Blvd N, Hagerstown, MD 21742). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
