She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Franklin and Ada Louise Hofe (Sipes); her husband Wallace Leo Carter; her siblings, Violet Grove, Alene May, Ruth Moore, Clyde Hofe and Kenneth Hofe; and her son-in-law Gary Kidwell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Beverly DuSing (Ronnie) and Brenda Kidwell-Schlosser (Roger) of Pensacola, FL; her sisters, Genevieve Houpt of Hagerstown and Mary Louise Hess of Hagerstown; her grandchildren, Jon Somerlade (Traci) of Pensacola, FL, Jodi Marsden of Pensacola, FL and Lori Daly (Ian) of Melbourne, FL; and her great grandchildren, Kirran, Kaili, Christopher, Taylor and Johnathan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
