He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Ellsworth, Sr. and Hazel Louise Fogle Welch; and his siblings, Linda Campbell and David Welch. He is survived by: his children, Crystal Welch of Hagerstown, Larry E. Welch, Jr. (Celia) of Warfordsburg and Kim Hull of Hagerstown; his granddaughters, Tara and Kayla Welch; his brother Raymond E. "Buddy" Welch, Jr.; and his friend Quinn McAllister of Hagerstown. He is also survived by niece and several nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Welch's name to benefit Doey's House and sent in care of Hospice of Washington County, 1710 Underpass Way, Suite 300, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.
