She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Ringold Comegys and Letha Comegys (Beauchamp); her husband Pearl Ambrose Grimes Jr.; her son Daniel Grimes; and her siblings, Wallace "Pete" Comegys, Eugene Comegys and Arlene Hawkins.
She is survived by: her children, David Grimes (Sherry), Bonita Provo (John) and Brenda Rivera (John); and her sister Rose Burgess. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Juanita's name to any local animal shelter.
