It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Landis Horst (Hagerstown, Maryland), who passed away on November 15, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Doris E. Horst (Baker); his grandson Keith D. Hollinger; and his siblings, Daniel Perry, Abram, Adin, Paul, George, Mary Margaret, Anna, Ida, Cora, Mildred and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda C. Beall (Gary L.) of Hagerstown, Mary Susan Hendershot (Larry K.) of Hagerstown and Deborah K. Reichard (Steven R.) of Hagerstown; his siblings, Edna Mae Naylor of Smithsburg, MD, Joseph Allen Horst of Hampstead, MD and Charles Ray Horst of Tacoma, GA; his grandchildren, Stephen S. Gentry, David A. Gentry, Kendra S. Moore, Keri A. Hendershot-Waymire and Brian S. Hollinger; his stepgrandchildren, Megen Beall, Andrew Reichard and Anna Haupt; and his great grandchildren, Alexis, Sydney, Hailey, Chance, Malea, Kayla, Kiersten, Kaitlyn and Kameron. He is also survived by 14 step great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and 10 step great-great grandchildren.
