He is survived by: his wife Linda K. Brown (Wingerd); his siblings, Becky Plavcan, Judy Teter and Ned Brown; his children, Jodi R. Pentz (Rick) of Smithsburg, MD, Wenda S. Brown of Ashburn, VA and Joel D. Brown, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD.; his grandchildren, Brian Pentz (Brandy), Brittany Johnson (Jamil), Jennifer Oberholzer (Steve), Megan Brown (Tony) and Joel D. Brown III; and his great grandchildren, Cassie, Andruw Pentz, Cody, Aiden and Emily Oberholzer.
