He was predeceased by: his parents, Kelly Gilmore Reed and Wanda Olivia Reed (Nokes); his wife Dorothy Reed (Pryor); and his siblings, William Reed, Delores Vincent, Deanna Plotner and Dolly Reed.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Shirk (John) of Hagerstown, Cathy Spies (Jeff) of Waynesboro and John Reed of Hagerstown; his siblings, Donna Rager, Kelly Reed and Gary Reed; and his grandchildren, Rachel Shirk, Matthew Shirk, Ashley Cline (Spies), Brittany Christophel (Spies), Tyler Spies, Katelyn Spies and Meghan Reed. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
