He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold S. Near and Clara Elizabeth Besore (Painter). He is survived by: his children, Kathy Tucker, Sharon Near, Lee Ann Aikens, Peggy Ashton, Jack Near Jr. and Jay Near. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandson.
