It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gotthard Sekula of Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on June 22, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Georg Sekula and Elizabeth Sekula (Lilge); his significant other's son Adam Barnhart; and his sister Giesela Ruprecht. He is survived by: his children, Juergen Reus of Landshut, Germany and Michelle Sekula Weber of Charlotte, NC; his granddaughters, Alina Reus, Emily Weber and Amanda Weber; his significant other JoEllen M. Barnhart; and his significant other's sons, Michael Barnhart and Andrew Barnhart.
Services and interment will be private. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is offering qualified families up to $9, 000 for funeral expenses incurred due to the death of a loved one from COVID-19. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused immense grief for so many people.
