She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecilia Acosta (Pinzón) and Israel Acosta of Bogotá Colombia. She is survived by: her husband Humberto Fernández; her children, Sandra Liriano (Ralph) and Jeffrey Fernández (Nilsa); her sister Carola Acosta; and her grandchildren, Raquel Fernández, Kevin Liriano of Carlos and Ralph "R. J." Liriano. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
