She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Boward and Mary Jane Boward; and her husband Robert W. Nichols. She is survived by: her sons, Mark Nichols (Cheryl) of Hagerstown and Scott Nichols (Becca) of Hyndman, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Allison Schwartz (Ben), Maria Nichols (Tim) and David Nichols (Nikki); her great grandchildren, Dylan Nill, Lennon Nill, Carter Nill and Cameron Nichols; her close friend June Gelwicks; and her friend Debbie Gladhill.
