It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Simmons (Hagerstown, Maryland), who passed away on November 13, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George William Poole, Sr. and Ada Katherine Poole (Wolfel); her husband Clarence P. "Blackie" Simmons; and her siblings, Ernest F. Poole, Richard B. Poole, George W. Poole, Jr., Harry A. Poole, Sr. and Anna R. Poole Miller. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
