He was predeceased by: his parents, Salem Luther Spies and Bessie Mae Kime Spies. He is survived by: his siblings, Roy, Glenn, Clyde and Harvey; his wife Gloria Jennette Spies; his sons, Michael, Jay (Elaine) and Duane (Doris); and his siblings-in-law, Jackie Hoffman, Mary Jane Buchman and Lorraine Donaldson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Minnich Funeral Home (415 E Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown, MD 21740). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park (17636 W Washington St, Hagerstown, MD 21740).
