With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emmett Abbott (Hagerstown, Maryland), born in Luray, Virginia, who passed away on August 27, 2019 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Simeon and Mary Frances Ruffner Abbott; his son Emmett Edwin Abbott; and his siblings, Blanche Wade, Marjorie Griffith, Elizabeth McFarland, Marvin Abbott, Leo "Jack" Abbott and Marion Abbott.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Virginia Kibler Abbott; his brother Homer S. Abbott of Hagerstown, MD; and his nephew Leon Abbott (Sharon). He is also survived by other numerous nieces and nephews.
