He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mary Hildebrand (Guessford); his sons, Brick Co and Slippery Rock University; his former wife Nellie C. Guessford (Hammond); his wife Thelma Jane Guessford (Ayers); and his half-siblings, Carolyn Wilhelm of Keedysville, JoAnne Houck of Hagerstown, Frank Bussard and Donald Howlett. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
