It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Walkley of Hagerstown, Maryland, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on December 4, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Lennox Schaefer, Sr. and Lillian Marie Schaefer (Hoops); her husband Gene Nelson Walkley, Sr.; her son John Walkley; and her siblings, Dorothy Burdette, Lillian Burdette, Phillip Schaefer and William Schaefer.
She is survived by: her sister Jean Weaver of Glen Burnie, Maryland; and her children, Debbie LeFew (Bryan), Janet Lung, Gene Walkley (Jane) and David Walkley (Stephanie). She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
