It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Belle Hammond of Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on June 8, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Lynn and Lillian Koogle (Rhodes); her husband Walter L. Hammond, Sr.; and her siblings, Vivian Morris, Gale Koogle and William Koogle.
She is survived by: her children, Walter L. Hammond (Gerrianne) of Hagerstown and Brenda K. Short of Chambersburg; her granddaughters, Chelsea Shoaf (Jordan) and Kristi Kipe (Jeff); and her great grandchildren, Christian, Peyton and Bodie.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy's name to Hospice of Washington County, 714 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
