He was predeceased by: his parents, William R. Maupin and Goldie L Mills Lucas; and his siblings, Crystal L. Moats, Gary L. Lucas, Joseph A. Lucas and Larry Maupin, Sr..

He is survived by: his stepfather Austin L. Lucas, Sr.; his daughters, Tammy Bishop (Mark), Sandy Foust, Betty Maupin and Mary Catherine Maupin (Brian Vlachos); and his siblings, Mary S. Lucas, Richard E. Magner and Austin L. Lucas, Jr.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
