She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph M. Carter and Thelma L. Carter (McCleary); her former husband Raphael E. Boward (Bud); her husband Carl V. Zello; and her brothers, Wallace Carter, Terry Balsley and Richard Carter.
She is survived by: her children, Teddy Boward of Hagerstown, MD, Randall Boward of Hagerstown, MD, Daniel Boward of Smithsburg, MD, Jerry Shaffer of Hagerstown, MD, Deborah Brooks of Cleveland, TN, Vicki Spurrier of Williamsport, MD and Sharon Kaufman. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
