Constance Ann McGowan Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Constance Ann McGowan of Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Garrett Hait Poffenberger and Fannie Louise Poffenberger (Burger); her son Richard Lane McGowan; her siblings, Kenneth Poffenberger, Donald Poffenberger, Betty Beckley and Ruby Kline; and her sister-in-law Doris Poffenberger.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Franklin McGowan, Sr. of Hagerstown, MD; her children, Charles Franklin McGowan, Jr. (Wendy) of Smithsburg, MD and Michelle Renee Soper (Rick Soper); her granddaughter Candace Winters (Grand Baker); her great grandchildren, Hunter, Kayden, Luke, Parker, Hayden and Raelynn; her grandson Joseph Staley IV (Amber); her great grandchildren, Joseph Staley V, Christian Dowler, Jamir, Juliana, Jakai, Jaxon and Jemma; her granddaughter Shawnee Coss (Jordan); her great grandchildren, Clarity and Brylnn; and her siblings, Eddie Poffenberger, Thelma Socks, Richard Poffenberger, Gary Poffenberger, Jeff Poffenberger, Thea Gross and Tina Brashears.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Minnich Funeral Home (415 E Wilson Blvd, Hagerstown, MD 21740). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
