He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Strite and Martha Viola Hykes Strite; and his siblings, Mary Shipp, Valeria Shellabarger, Marshall Strite, Jr. and Galen Strite.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Mentzer Strite; his children, Kim Shifflett (Robert), Melody Stocks, Greg Strite, Charles Strite, Jr. (Heidi) and Gary Strite (Shirley); and his brother-in-law Herman Shipp. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
