She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles H. Mullenix and Esta M. Mullenix (Vinson). She is survived by: her husband Garland E. Abbott; her daughters, Judy E. Peiffer (Richard) and Patti E. Lewis (Robert); her grandchildren, Laura Lewis Mir (Abner), Jennifer Peiffer Hanlon (Craig), Christopher J. Peiffer (Jennifer) and Kelly Lewis Frank (Daniel); her great grandchildren, Doriane Mir, Lucas Mir, Samantha Frank and Sadie Frank; her stepgreat-grandson Keaton Hanlon; and her sister Doris Pitsnogle. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She would have loved to know a donation was made to these charities since they help people in need. She also expressed a desire for memorial donations to be made to Maranatha Brethren Church, 19835 Scott Hill Drive, Hagerstown, MD 21742 and/or Chosen People Ministries, 241 East 51st Street, New York, NY 10022-6502.
