She is survived by: her husband Thomas M. Battle; her children, Rachel E. Turner (Wilson Turner, Jr.) and Aaron M. Battle (Amber); her grandchildren, Shalai and Aaron, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Aubrey and Alexander; her sibling Nancy Allen; and her pet Ruffin.
