Porter of Greensboro; his children, William "Petey" Porter, Jr of Goldsboro, Shirley Eaton of Goldsboro, Kathy Whitson of Goldsboro and Margaret Buckle of Denton; and his siblings, George Cannon of Marydel, Delaware, Joyce Cannon of Felton, Libby Tripp of Dover and Margaret Bell of Camden. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
