DAVID BARTHOLOMEW BEFACCHIA

It is with great sadness that the family of David Bartholomew Befacchia announce his unexpected and sudden passing on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at his residence in Greensboro, Maryland at the much too young age of 62. David will be sadly missed by his daughter, Destiny Marie Cochrane, his older sister, Joan Catherine Befacchia (Lepore), his younger sister, Christine Therese Befacchia, brother-in-law, Leslie Lepore, nephew, Nicholas Romolo Lepore & wife Sarah, grandniece, Gracelyn Lepore and extended family and dear friends.
David was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Columbia, Maryland. He is a 1977 graduate of Oakland Mills High School in Columbia, Maryland. David enjoyed spending time with family and friends, the outdoors, repairing bicycles and taking in and caring for many stray cats over the years.
David is predeceased by his father Romolo Richard Befacchia of Columbia, Maryland (1927-2020) his mother, Mary Joan (Christoph) Befacchia of Columbia, Maryland (1928-20184), his daughter Destiny’s mother, Sue Ann Cochrane of Marydel, Maryland (1968-2008), his grandfather, Bartholomew Befacchia of Teramo, Abruzzo, Italy (1892-1949), his grandmother Savina Lucia (Ribolzi) Befacchia of Olginasio di Besozzo, Varese, Italy (1899-2007), and his uncle, Florangelo Joseph Befacchia, of Queens, New York, USA (1923-1998).
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
