She was predeceased by: her parents, William Webster Shobe and Reba Leota Shobe; her son Michael Alan Metzel; and her brother James William Shobe. She is survived by: her husband Alan Barry Metzel; her daughter Amanda Metzel (Gregory Bush) of Glenn Dale, MD; her daughter-in-law Crista "Rhee" Long Metzel; her brother Donald Douglas Shobe (Joan O'Fallen Shobe); her sister-in-law Judy Shobe Brewer; and her pet Miss Kitty. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
