He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Payne and Florence Payne; his sister Margaret McConnell; and his former wife Mary F. Payne. He is survived by: his children, Colleen Dillingham and Matthew Payne; his grandchildren, Emily Dillingham, Sarah Payne, William Dillingham and Rachel Payne; and his brothers, John Payne and Thomas Payne.
