It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret B. Swope of Greenbelt, Maryland, who passed away on July 29, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jackman and Annie Jackman (Beels); her husband Frank Swope; and her siblings, Phillip Jackman, Alice Atkins, Marie Bryant and Elizabeth Dugan.

She is survived by: her children, Farrel Swope, Freddie of Mesa and Sheridan Swope of Arlington, Virginia; and her grandchildren, Josephine and Forest Swope. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to: Catholic Charities.

I'll never forget her Yorkshire pudding ,roast beef with gravy and brussel sprouts dinner she was so kind to make for Farrel and I when she came to Az .We were still newly weds and I was so nervous to meet her. By the time she left I felt like I had made a friend. Farrel I hope you are well.I live in Gilbert on Brooks Farm Rd. If you're ever out this way stop in and say hello. Love Beth”
