He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Schmid and Mildred Schmid (Lawrence); his wife Ursula Schmid (Hollwig); and his siblings, Edith Beck, Marjorie Schmid and Alan Schmid. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.
