It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Joseph D'Amico Sr. in Greenbelt, Maryland, who passed away on January 28, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though James Joseph may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James Joseph touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincenzo James and Louise Susan Ritter D'Amico. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Lynn D'Amico; and his sons, James J. D'Amico Jr. (Emily), Anthony M D'Amico and Joseph C D'Amico (Tatiana). He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Huntingtown United Methodist Church (4020 Hunting Creek Rd, Huntingtown, MD 20639). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Jim's honor to Huntingtown United Methodist Church, Calvert County Lions Club, and the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department.
