She was predeceased by: her parents, John Roche and Molly Roche; her husband William Robert Phillips; and her siblings, John, Robert, Kathleen and Austin.
She is survived by: her children, Caroline Rhodes (Jack) of Petaluma, CA, Mary Anders of Rockville, MD, Catherine Walrod (Jim) of Baldwin, MD, Michael Phillips of San Francisco, CA, Susan Fitzpatrick (Jim) of North Potomac, MD, Matthew Phillips (Amy) of Germantown, MD and Gregory Phillips of Bethesda, MD.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews.
