With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine Burton of Great Mills, Maryland, born in La Plata, Maryland, who passed away on June 20, 2021 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James R. Pilkerton and Helen Pilkerton of Port Tobacco, MD.; her husband Gary Gene Burton; her brothers, Thomas R. Pilkerton of Port Tobacco, MD and Kenneth M. Pilkerton of La Plata, MD; and her parents-in-law, Robert B. Burton and Hazel M. Burton of Bel Alton, MD..
She is survived by: her grandson Christopher M. Sherman (Shayna); and her great grandchild Hailey Jean Sherman of Mechanicsville, MD.. She is also survived by grandmother caring for her grandson and other children of friends.
