She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Evelyn Owens and John Shelton Howe Sr.; her husband William Earl Hester Sr.; her sons, Ricky Allen Hester and William Earl Hester, Jr.; and her siblings, James Howe, Paul Howe and Mary Ann Shaw.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Walker of Georgia, Lisa Hester of Mississippi, Rodger Hester of Lexington Park, MD and Christopher Jay Hester of Leonardtown, MD; and her siblings, Betty Greenberg of Hollywood, MD, Susie Russell of California, MD and John Howe Jr.. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
In leu of flowers the family is requesting memorial contributions to go to Hospice of St. Mary's, P.A. Box 625 Leonardtown, MD 20650.
